Job seekers found a network of opportunity at the Perth Job Fair

April 1, 2024

On March 26, Perth’s Community Employment Services (CES) Algonquin College hosted the Perth Job Fair at the Legion Hall, featuring 20 employers from various sectors such as healthcare, manufacturing, trades, support care, government, food services, construction, real estate, retail, local distilleries and micro breweries.

This annual free event facilitated in-person networking opportunities, allowing job seekers and employers to connect beyond resumes and contribute to future job market growth in Lanark County.

This year’s Perth Job Fair attracted over 250 job seekers of all ages and experience levels, including high school students, college grads, mature workers and seasoned professionals.

Employers play a central role in our fair, interacting with potential candidates and hiring to fill job openings. Many employers reported booking multiple follow-up interviews for after the event, indicating promising opportunities for job seekers. CES thanks all of our employers for their participation and wish all attendees good luck with their next steps.
